Overview
This guide will show you how to setup Google Apps on your (mt) Media Temple service. You can create MX records to direct your mail services to Google Apps. This is performed the same way for all of (mt) Media Temple services. You can read more about this at: How do I point my mail to Google Apps?
Instructions
Edit MX Records Manually
1. Log into your AccountCenter.
2. Click on your the domain you'd like to point to Google Apps.
3. Click on "Edit Zone File." For step by step directions with screenshots, please see: How can I change the DNS records for a domain I registered/host with (mt) Media Temple?
4. Delete the current MX and A records for mail.
5. Add the following MX Records to your zone file with their corresponding priorities.
Please enter the following MX Records (The period at the end must be included):
Note: The "l" is in fact a lower case letter L, and the period at the end is required.
10 aspmx.l.google.com. 20 alt1.aspmx.l.google.com. 20 alt2.aspmx.l.google.com. 30 aspmx2.googlemail.com. 30 aspmx3.googlemail.com. 30 aspmx4.googlemail.com. 30 aspmx5.googlemail.com.

6. Click save.
Add CNAME Records
1. Add the following CNAME Records to your zone file. (Optional but recommended)
The above CNAME Records show the example default recommended, these can be customized to your choosing. Remember to login and let Google Apps know that you are using your own custom URL's. Click here for more instructions.
2. Click Save.
Disable local mail delivery
You will also want to disable local mail delivery for your domain.
1. Log into your AccountCenter.
2. Click on your Primary Domain
3. Click on "Enable/Disable Mail"
4. Select "No" for the domain and then click "Save".
Congratulations! Your email should now work with Google Apps. Keep in mind that changes to DNS record settings may take 12 to 72 hours to propagate.
